Oregon Salmon, Steelhead, Sturgeon, Walleye, Trout on the Deschutes and Columbia river
Our trips from May through December are planned for the Deschutes and Columbia Rivers of Central and Eastern Oregon. Choose from one of our fishing packages for the Redside trout, Summer steelhead, Columbia Upriver Brights (Chinook Salmon) or sturgeon. Starting in May and lasting until October, we fish the upper Deschutes for the "Redside" trout which can reach up to 5-6 lbs. On the lower Deschutes river, we fish for the Summer steelhead from July through December with these fish averaging 5-10 lbs and reaching up to well over 20 lbs. We fish the Columbia for Chinook salmon from August through November with these exciting fish hitting the scales at 20 lbs to over 50 lbs. The walleye fishing is outstanding in the Columbia river from April through September. This river is know as one of the premier rivers in the United States for trophy walleye. Sturgeon fishing on the Columbia river in Oregon is a year round fishery with keepable fish between 42"-66". On the Deschutes river all wild steelhead have to be released unharmed and we wish to encourage the release of all wild fish wherever you fish. We also arrange combination trips where you can fish for more than one species.

Our experience guiding on Oregon rivers is now in its 20th year. We are members of the Oregon Guides and Packers Association and are fully licensed and insured. We conduct fishing trips year-round with optional scenic whitewater trips in May through September. We can accommodate from 1-12 people on 1-5 day trips. All trips are run in drift boats, jet sleds and/or rafts. On overnight trips we provide all necessary permits, camping equipment and meals. Fishing equipment is provided upon request for all trips. All you need to bring is your own personal gear: clothes, waders, camera, sleeping bag, pad, etc.
Transportation can be arranged for people coming in from out of state, otherwise we arrange for vehicle shuttle from the put-in to the take-out if you so desire. The rivers we fish October through April are the North Oregon Coast Rivers as well as the Portland area rivers for fall and spring Chinook salmon and Winter steelhead. Those rivers include the Wilson, Trask, Nehalem, North Fork Nehalem, Nestucca, Kilchis, Siletz as well as the Clackamas, Columbia Willamette, Sandy, Santiam, and McKenzie rivers. Fish will range in size from 15-20 lbs up to 60 lbs from the salmon with the steelhead averaging 8-10 lbs up to 30 lbs. These trips are 1/2 day or day trips only and we will arrange overnight accommodations for you. Also the Elk and Sixes river in Southern Oregon for fall Chinook and Winter steelhead.
Booking a Fishing Trip
If you are interested in booking a fishing trip a deposit is required for trips of more than a day in length with the balance due at time of departure. Fishing trips of only one day will require full payment before departure, few expenses can be recovered. If cancellations are made 14 days prior to departure, refund will be less then 50%. Any cancellations made less then 14 days, will be at our discretion. This policy does not effect fall and winter fishing trips due to drastic weather changes that occur in a very short time. All deposits on these fishing trips are either refunded in full or the trip is rescheduled. All deposits are due two weeks after confirmation of trip date. Amount of deposit will depend on the party size.
